It’s All Gone a Bit Quiet?

No, not really, just not been posting here, or on the boards. A few nice things are coming to the boil in the background. OPL first, and it finnally looks like there is a clear path forward. It all started with this rant from Russ Beattie on his Blog – credit him for kicking of the new thoughts on OPL I’ll be posting in the next day or so. OPL’s not dead, it might even have menu’s running in the private distro I’m testing right now.

I’m also planning (with Rafe and Jordan) to attend the Nokia Series 60 Awards day, where All About Symbian has been nominated for the “Series 60 Evangelist” award. It looks as if none of the other nominee’s in that category can attend, which is a shame. But still, if you’re one of the companies on show, expect to see a kilted Scotsman come up and talk to you about AAS and where your company fits in.

I’m putting the finishing touches to a site that will carry all my software (there are some apps that don’t fall under the FreEPOC banner, and I feel the need for somewhere central that I can call my own), but I’m still involved in FreEPOC, but focussing on Series 60 OPL at the moemnt, so it can benefit the whole community.

What is nice is in two weeks 1500 of you have downloaded the “First Variety” leel pack for Series 60 Vexed. Nice to know it’s still a solid application with a lot of followers.

Now, if I can just get Cera finished to my liking on the 9210…
