My Year Of Podcasting
Okay so I missed writing this post on the exact one-year anniversary of my first public podcast, but given that the date of that first show was the 14th of February, I’m going to simply say I was busy.
That first show was part of the short lived “The Mobile Show.” While it proved a great grounding in the mechanics of production, it diluted my work on “All About Symbian” to such an extent that I had to call a halt. But, never fear, because around the corner was TPN Rock – and you all know how that turned out. Just you lot wait ill the anniversary shows air…
Being on board with The Podcast Network from the launch day of 14th Feb has proved a great ride as well. Bootstrapping a network of sites with a huge number of producers, podcasts and hosts isn’t an easy thing to do, so I’m glad I can help out where I can.
Probably the two big things from Podcasting is the just about to start trip round four tech conferences in the USA, and the daily coverage of the Edinburgh Fringe in August. Two podcasts that are/were reporting on something that people would want to hear, but couldn’t be there. Not just citizen broadcasting, but citizen broadcasting that’s respected by the listeners and the establishment… don’t forget the BAFTA nomination the Fringe Cast picked up.
So year two promises more of the same, but more being the operative words. More listeners, more advertisers, more content… It’s going to be fun!

shouldn’t that be more fun?
