New Look for The Musings

For a long time I’ve been hankering to change over the look of the blog to something a bit more modern, and while I’ve strong design ideas on what I’d like to do, there’s also the idea that those designs would need a huge amount of time to get where I want. But I keep it in the back of my mind.

And along comes the Hemingway template, which is pretty close to what I wanted. A few tweaks (and there are some more to go for font size and colour, and to get the lego icon into the mix somewhere sensible) and I got what you see now (if you aren’t relying 100% on RSS). And if it doesn;t work out, it’s a button press or two to go back to the previous template.

[Update] Have added in a strip at the bottom of the site with icons to my other sites, where I write, and whre I hang out. So along with All About Symbian and my podcasts, there are links to my Twitter, Upcoming and MySpace profiles. I think those are the big ones, I’ll pop iun more as I remember them.

[Update] No rest for the wicked one experimenting. The ‘sidebar’ (which is the lower section of each page) now scans both TPN Rock and The PSP Show RSS Feeds for the latest headlines and shows. And it does it once every hour to keep down system load.
