Women in Podcasting, and The [New] Mellow Monday Show

And sometimes the answer is in front of you all the time… One of the things that Hilary pointed out to me when she was doing the groundwork to take over the TPN Blog was that the majority of our hosts were male. Now I’m not one to go all militant on this issue (after all, there are parts of life where one gender outweighs the others, for example in nursing, front line military, and anchoring daytime chat shows) so I tend to let the chips land where they land.

But when Mark announced his withdrawal from his [audible] podcasting positions (and reading his reasons I can sympathise with him), he let me know that The Mellow Monday Show was such a strong brand he’d find a way to let it continue.

So meet the new host… Gail Hunter. Gail’s first show is up today (it’s Mellow Monday #34), and it’s a great mix of music to ease you into the week (with just a little frisson of ‘who is the mysterious Hong Kong Phooey new host that’s caressing my ears?).
