Mega March Conference Trip – I’m Looking For Suggestions

So, the start of the year, and the first full working week, and it’s time to start planning March. Super March. Or stupid amounts of traveling March. Or how I can use up the entire carbon footprint allowance of everyone in Leith in just over 20 days. But it is traditional.

To give some more colour to this, here’s an email, reprinted with permission, that I received over the weekend:

Hi Ewan,

Just a quick note of thanks for your enthusiastic coverage of ETech 2007 on TPN. So impressed was I buy your round up, and the caliber of speakers, that I am going this year! – I’m also capping the trip off (since I’m over there) with SXSW Interactive. Probably the best two tech conferences this year, IMHO.

Will you be covering this year’s ETech?

(personal details removed)

Yes, as I did in both 2006 and 2007, I’m heading off stateside in March to cover a number of conferences both for The Podcast Network‘s Tech Conference Show, but also for a number of other publications – previous years have seen me file reports for a number of websites, and some audio reporting for BBC Radio 5. |’m pretty sure that similar opportunities will be happening this year as well.

What I do know is that Web 2.0 is providing me even more ways to keep all of you in the loop as I travel, and maybe get more involved than normal. Time will tell on that one exactly how, but as always you will read about it here and can follow links if required. Figure that I’ll be doing something with the “Spence” video show as well.

As you can guess, not everything is 100% locked down, so Ive still got a lot of options on which events I can attend. My rough dates are, well, March. Pretty much all of it. So if you’ve got some ideas, then feel free to leave some comments!

PS I am confirmed as attending SXSW.
