The thing about Sony being hacked because, in their words, "[they] tried to protect its intellectual property" is that their protection methods were draconian, allowed no homebrew code to run on their machine, banned out-of-region sellers from selling games (famously closing down Lik Sang, thus depriving me of an official supplier of Japanese games such as the Densha De Go series for my European PSP), forced firmware updates, don’t allow you to transfer a UMD disc based game into a digital download… …or they’ve not confirmed a Monster Hunter Portable version for the PSP Vita.
