Step 1, tweak BBC Charter… step 3, profit!
The Big Brother Corporation (that joke tm Spike Milligan) reports that the international version of the site, BBC.com, is reporting a profit two years ahead of schedule . Which is nice, but I’d like to see how much expenditure they have going out for the content and other areas beyond the quoted "…multimillion pound rights payment for us to run the BBC.com business". It’s a good news story, but can we dig a bit deeper?
No matter what, I am looking forward to something out of this story, and that’s the arrival of some faux licence fee outrage from the Daily Mail in 5… 4… 3…

BBC.com is making a profit, only after they made a few major tweaks to their UK sure too. Maybe they should use that money to fund the World Service, why should we License Fee payers cover the cost of the World Service? I mean BBC Worldwide made a profit too, why not tap into more of the BBC than just Top Gear. Dr Who and such
