Kudos From Others ETech Coverage

Now this is both humbling and high-5 territory at the same time. Watching the blogosphere ETech coverage in the downtime between sessions at SXSW (hint, there’s not a lot of downtime!) I came across this paragraph of praise for attendees over at Attention Trust. Bruce Sterling was refreshingly contrarian and had at least one killer line. Dick Hardt reinforced his status as the Jedi master of PowerPoint. The fascinating R0ml Lefkowitz combined some audacious ideas with a natural showman’s sensibility (right down to the red clown nose.) I’m The Seer…

…he’s a werewolf, and they are villiagers. In actual fact the truth was he’s the seer, they’re werewolves, and I’m playing an insane villiager. Last night at ETech saw an awesome single round of Werewolf. It pretty much guarantees that in any subsequent game at ETech I’ll get lynched in the first round, but if you want the memorable laughs, you gotta make sacrifices.

The Little Green Bag of BarCampLA

Fun, in a relaxing, almost stress-free way, would be the best way to describe BarCampLa, which happened this Sunday, the day before ETech. The warehouse / loft /stuid of Little Radio, in downtown LA, would be the perfect setting for replicating Reservoir Dogs. It’s a lovely un-conference space, with a large main room and two side rooms. I say rooms, it was much mroe open plan. I set up the podcasting ‘studio’ towards the front of the building (in the sunlight) and started the recording. In total there are twelve recordings.
