Travelling to San Francisco, the UK-US Flight

So I’m safely wrapped up in a comfy duvet in San Francisco, after a rather good set of flights from Edinburgh (via London Gatwick and Dallas Fort Worth). After a day on the web of scored out numbers and questions piling up in the comments, the team at TechCrunch 20 have posted the details of the change to the Conference and that they’ll now be showcasing 40 companies, as opposed to 20, and re-branding to TechCrunch 40. The official reason on the website is: …we decided that there were just too many strong start-ups to limit the conference format to 20 company presentations. TPN’s Tech Conference Show To Cover TechCrunch20

Part of September’s trip to the USA will include a bundle of coverage of the TechCrunch20 Conference. With 20 ‘new ideas’ on show, the stated aim of Jason Calacanis and Michael Arrington is to provide the best new business ideas a platform to demo themselves, their products, and vision. The content looks like it will make for a great mix of traditional conferencing, discussion, and roadshow presentation, and for me that can only mean one thing. Time to break open the microphone!
