Football Manager Handheld reviewed on The PSP Show

Over on the weekly PSP show podcast, I’ve taken a look at Football Manager Handheld 2009 for Sony’s Playstation Portable. Short review, any game that can accurately simulate the misery of managing Cowdenbeath, and then gives me the same rush that a no score draw at home in Central Park, must be doing something right! Pipemania reviewed on this weeks PSP Show

Starting to get back into the swing of this, with podcasts recorded next to a mixing desk (yaay) as opposed to out in the wild and placing the microphone at various distances from people for live gain control! Anyway, time for a new PSP Show. This week it’s the turn of Pipemania to fall under the review spotlight; it might be an old style game, but is it still addictive enough and has the PSP version refused the temptation to spoil it by adding too much rubbish? Liveblogging My Flight To The US

Well I say liveblog, more notes that I’m making on the EEE as I fly, hence thenewer posts are at the bottom of this one. I’ll uploaded them when I get somewhere that’s not 6 miles up in the air, free Wi-fi enabled planes this 777 is not. (All times PST). 0500: The American Airlines cabin crew on this flight have never tasted Thornton’s Continental before now. And they like them. Lucky me… 0700:Scribefire might be the best option for blogging on the Ubunutu powered EEE, but it’s not a patch on Windows Live Writer… probably the finest bit of

Why Do MP3’s Encourage Piracy while AAC Is The Salvation on the Nintendo DSi?

What is in the water at Nintendo UK? There’s a nice interview with David Yarnton in the Times today, talking about the soon to be launched in the UK Nintendo DSi. It’s an evolution of the existing DS Lite, with basic cameras, SD Card support and an on-device store. Are they talking on the iPhone? Of course they are. But sometimes I wonder just what they think pirates are up to. First of all they’re proud that the DSi will not recognise the R4 Card (which is used to run homebrew code and .nds downloaded games). That protection should last

The PSP Show and a Purple Confession

Right then, the latest PSP Show, where I look at the recent news and review a new title on an almost weekly basis, has been posted. #90 takes a look at the Need for Speed franchise and the latest title, Undercover. It’s a return to form after Pro Street but is it enough? [audio:http://psp.thepodcastnetwork.com/audio/tpn_psp_20090226_90.mp3] Show Notes – MP3 File – RSS Feed But a little confession first… I really like the recently announced Lilac PSP, not for any sort of spec-lust, but for the colour. Unfortunatly it’s only available in a Hannah Montana bundle. Can I force myself?

The PSP Podcast reviews the PSN Collections

Friday is very much podcast day, what with TPN Rock and The PSP Show going live, and the weekly recording of the All About Symbian Podcast taking place as well. So here’s the latest show on the Sony Playstation Portable [audio:http://psp.thepodcastnetwork.com/audio/tpn_psp_20090123_87.mp3] Download MP3 – Show Notes – RSS Feed It’s the usual ten minute or so whirl around what’s happened in the world of the PSP in the last week or so, along with a review of a new game – but always one that is in stores so you can buy straight away, none of this preview stuff for
