I had started to write a link to Alan Rusbridger’s account of The Guardian’s pursuit of the the whole #notw issue… Early in 2009 there had been a similar moment. Adding adverts in the copy ‘n’ paste of Newspaper websites

With the new design of this site (yes, after two weeks it is still ‘new’ given the years and years there’s been a blog at this URL) there’s a lot more quoting of stories around the web, and in the last post, I took a snippet from The Mirror newspaper website. And was offered a voucher to go camping for 95p! I’m used to seeing sites embed a “read more at[ URL]” line of text after copying text from a site – it’s actually quite handy as I need to grab the URL for the plug-in that alters the permalinks
