Computer Outlook Talk Radio – Podcast Show

Yes, it’s short notice, but if you’re up and about in the next hour or so, I’ll be appearing on the Computer Outlook Talk Radio Show, with Dave Ciccone (Dave’s Ipaq) and host John Iasiuolo to talk about video podcasting. You can listen to the show live, over the internet, from www.computeroutlook.com. I first met John and the Computer Outlook guys at the PalmSource DevCon at the end of June, talking the guest speaker chair on many a broadcast. This is something I’ve talked about for a while with them , getting me on the air over Skype, so it

JohnPeel’s Perfumed Garden on SixMusic

BBC Radio SixMusic has a week of John Peel archive material (Monday 24th to Friday 28th October) available every night over the air at 2130, and then for seven days afterward on play again. Monday’s show is, amazingly, the first full length show he ever did for BBC Radio 1, “Top Gear.” It’s a fascinating listen – even then Peel has got Pink Floyd live in the studio. Unfortunatly, it’s not a podcast. THe BBC haven’t found a miraculous way to get round the msuic licencing. They’re using a little quirk which means that anything broadcast on the BBC network

How To Live Off Your Band’s Music – Some Things To Think About (and TPN Rock #30)

Yes I know I mention my podcast a lot on here, but that’s because I’m really proud of it, and what it does. By giving airtime to new and upcoming bands from around the world, giving them a massive international platform, and seeing what a huge difference that can make for them. Consider just 50 listeners going to their site and buying a £10 CD each. That’s a lump of cash not to be sniffed at. As more and more people get into podcasting for strong independent music, and realise that there’s a whole world of CD’s that will never

This Podcast Was Brought To You By The Letters R… O… K… and R…

The big podcasting news today is over at The Podcast Network. Motorola has signed up to support TPN for the next three months. Mainstream advertsing is starting to seriously look at Podcasting, and this is the first of many big moves I’m sure that will be seen over the next six months or so. Be it from advertisers looking for new routes to audiences, innovative programming, and the experiments and trials that Sorry did I say the big news? I meant to say the big public news. There’s a lot going in the podcast world. Not least TPN Rock getting

Top Gear – UK Podcasters Collaborate For The John Peel Tribute Podcast

The John Peel Tribute Podcast (MP3 48.8mb, 1 hour 55 seconds) LISTEN HERE John Peel Day, a way for Radio 1 to acknowledge (exploit?) the memory of a man that they never really understood and shifted around the schedules? Or a chance for the Beeb to do some token ‘new artists are our friends?’ Quite frankly, I’m not going to be following it that closely, but then John Peel is one of those DJ’s that I have infinite resepct and awe for. As do many of the UK Podcasters. So congrats to fellow Edinburgh based Tane Piper of the Tripcast

TPN Rock Missing Presumed Having A Good Time

It’s nice to wake up to a full inbox and IM clients flashing at me with the same question. “It’s Friday? Where’s TPN Rock??? Wahhhhhh!” Well the servers over at The Podcast Network are getting major surgery. The flipside will be faster connections, no drop outs, and generally making it better. It’s just there’s a bit of pain just now. Nevertheless TPN Rock #28 is finished, and when the patient recovers, it’ll be coming at ya!
