I’ll Be On BBC Radio Scotland’s Radio Cafe This Tuesday

More Mainstream Radio appearances for yours truly coming up. Tuesday 31st January will see me as part of the panel on Radio Scotland’s Radio Cafe. The topic is Podcasting, more specifically podcasting and other mainstream media starting to get involved (such as UK newspapers The Guardian and The Telegraph). I’ve been invited along as “The Podcasting Expert” to explain what the medium is and putting it all in context. It should be fun and games, especially as it’ll be going out live. UK listeners can catch the show on the internet, and those of you further afield may be out of

Tartanpodcast And Podshow Have Split

Update: Mark has confirmed he has left Podshow. Reasons in full at the end of this post. Now this is interesting. One of the flaghsip Podshow music shows, Mark Hunter’s Tartanpodcast (http://www.tartanpodcast.com/) seems to be missing from Podshow’s website. When the Podsafe Music Network (PMN) launched, they took a number of shows with the rough moniker of PodSquad, that would cover a large number of genres of music and styles. TPN Tech Conference Podcast, My March in America 2006 and Sponsorship Opportunities

So, following up on my post about the adventures in March, I’ve had a number of emails from people claiming that “I’m mad,” “what are you thinking,” and “will you come and see me?” I’ve also had a few conversations with the organisers from some of the conference I plan to attend (namely BarCamp, ETech, SXSW and Mix 06). Right now I’m just looking at the Podcast coverage that I can do from these events, and a mad plan (almost as mad as the Edinburgh Fringe Podcast idea) is forming – to podcast a one hour daily show from each

Nick Cave is on The Podcast Network Right Now

W00t! Check out TPN! This is a major moment in TPN history, brought to you by Dennis Hays – Nick Cave. I am a HUGE Nick Cave fan, have been for 20 years, in my opinion he is easily the top songwriting talent Australia has produced, and Dennis got permission from Nick’s label, Epitaph, to play this track on a podcast. Check out the latest edition of the Blues and Jazz show on TPN. Link: TPN Blog

ITMS Forum For Podcaster Problems

Previously I‘ve complained about the lack of response from Apple regarding podcasts and their inclusion (or lack thereof) in hte iTunes Music (Video and Podcast) Store. Brian DeWitt (from AMP) has pointed out this forum on the Apple Support Pages for you to post your problems. Hopefully it’s monitiored and if your cast is having trouble, it’ll be picked up and sorted after an appearance here.
