More time spent flying than coding is worth it for American on Windows Phone

It’s no British Airways, but I’d rather a better in-flight experience and a sightly above average mobile application (which is what American Airlines offer me), than a whizz-bang Windows Phone app coupled with the Edinburgh to Heathrow BA shuttle. … it does the job of getting me relevant information while I’m travelling. While the lack of an updating Live Tile means you have to go into the application to find out the details, this app is more suited to checking on things as you travel to the airport to catch a flight. Off To Las Vegas and BlogWorldExpo

I’m writing this in the American Airlines Lounge at Heathrow, after the first leg of the trip to Las Vegas. Edinburgh to Heathrow just proves Terminal 5, and specifically transfers from T5 to T3 (where the American flights are) is pretty hellish, and much worse than T1 to T3 ever was (and I have to say I think today’s transfer went very smooth). Anyway, from here it’s on to Dallas, then into Las Vegas. Should be getting in around 8pm local time, and after stopping off to freshen up at the Excalibur Hotel, I’ll be heading to the TechSet party.
