Old Rope, Twitter Secrets and Doing Some Stand-up

Well I guess the cat is out the bag now (either that or my name is up on the chalk board outside the Gilded Balloon and people are putting two and two together and getting about four). Tonight I’ll be on stage at the Edinburgh Fringe as part of the Old Rope Comedy show from Phil Nichol and Tiffany Stephenson I was in two minds about whether I was going to post this publicly or just let a regular crowd arrive via osmosis, but praise be (I think) to Twitter because the usual suspects are starting the buzz for me.

having been through the Fringe guide many times to plan out some of the adventures of the Fringe Podcast, I noticed back in June a number of shows that were leveraging technology such as online chat-rooms, Facebook and various other real time internet sites to start or drive their plot. “That’s worth a closer look,” I thought. Fringe Podcast Featured in the latest issue of iProng Magazine

It’s just under a week* until the first press event for the 2009 Edinburgh Fringe – which is when my ‘interview radar’ switches from passive to active and I start to track down the new stars and shows for this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Podcast. Throughout July I’ve been doing a bit more press and publicity for the show, and this month’s issue of iProng Magazine (the publication for iPhone, iPod, music, podcasting, and social media lovers) features myself in the Podcaster Spotlight section: What are you most looking forward to at the 2009 Festival?
