Moore’s Law of Power joined by Koomey’s Law of Efficiency
Researchers have, for the first time, shown that the energy efficiency of computers doubles roughly every 18 months. Hat tip to John Gruber. He points out that Apple have been chasing this in the desktop/laptop field while others look at processing power, but I’d add Nokia’s smartphone tech to that mix as well in terms of battery life and phone capability.
