Just purchased my ticket for the Edinburgh Twestival, one of many events to be held on the same day in aid of Charity: Water. Twitter users as a force for good? That’s what many Twitterers are looking to do with the upcoming Twestivals. The short history of the event starts last September in London, with a group of people connected by Twitter having a meeting, coffee, drinks and raising some money for local homeless charities. As more local communities sprung up around the world doing the same thing, the idea of focusing on a single day and a large push to bring awareness of the charity:water project.
