Engadget focus on Manicures not Mobiles

Have to love the commenters at Engadget – they’ve picked up on one of the many demo videos of the PsiXpda that I did at Le Web (more on my experiences of that in an upcoming post). A quick glance at the comments (compared to other sites) show a distinct fetish with my single painted nail. Bless them all and their wonderful let‘s not talk about the product! Since starting these video diaries on the March USA trip, Steve Litchfield has been helping out with the workflow – mobile video and especially post-recording editing isn’t quite up to consumer simplicity yet – but this is the first ‘running free’ video from myself.

Why Akoha Has Captured My Mood

As mentioned in my previous post, I think that working on and bringing a more human touch to start ups and internet companies will lead to the next success; and one of those is Akoha. Dave Delaney introduced me to this at SXSW by (a) buying me a pint of Belhaven in Austin (hey I’d been stateside for two weeks, Belhaven was like manna) and at the same time (b) handing me a playing card sized Akoha card. On the card was a mission – “Invite Someone for Drinks.” So Dave scores karma points on the Akoha website, and I
