So Twitter has one million registered applications? Okay, let’s have a list. And when this list (which I doubt we’ll ever see) comes out, we can find out how many of them are honest to goodness apps, and how many are workarounds for blog plug-ins so posts like this one can be auto-tweeted. Given each blog needs to be registered as an application in plug-ins like Twitter Tools, and WordPress has just announced they have over 50 million blogs (and around 25 million of them are personally hosted versions), I’ll take Twitter’s Million with not just a grain of salt,
Techcrunch is getting a new look next week, after almost a year of working on the design. They’re also sticking with WordPress, so expect a "TC-Template" to appear in the WordPress Themes Directory about forty five minutes after Arrington and Co make it live.

Further to the long discussion about the length of online video, the changes to WordPress.com and the stats counter showing the number of active bloggers and the number of words today has an interesting comment from Matt Mullenweg: What’s odd is that average number of words per post is almost always exactly 250.
